Overview
Special Needs Navigator LLC is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect through specialneedsnavigator.us and app.specialneedsnavigator.us (collectively, the “Site”), how we collect and use that information, and how we protect it.
The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Special Needs Navigator LLC. The terms “user,” “you,” and “your” refer to site visitors, session users, and any other users of the Site.
By using the Site or our AI consultation service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
Information you provide voluntarily. If you contact us by email or submit an escalation request through the session interface, you may provide your name, email address, and details about your situation. We collect only what you choose to share.
Session content. When you use our AI consultation tool, the questions you ask and information you provide during the session are transmitted to Anthropic’s servers for processing. This is required to generate responses. Session content is not stored on our servers after your session ends.
Session summary downloads. If you choose to download a session summary at the end of your session, a document is generated and delivered to you. That document is not retained on our servers after delivery.
Session transcript downloads. If you choose to download a full transcript of your session, it is generated at session close and delivered to you. Like the session summary, the transcript is not retained on our servers after delivery. Both the summary and transcript contain only the information you provided during your session.
Payment information. When you purchase a session, your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store your payment card data.
Usage data. We collect non-personal usage data such as pages visited, browser type, IP address, referring URL, and timestamp information. This data is used to administer the Site and analyze usage patterns through Google Analytics (GA4). It is not linked to personally identifiable information.
AI Session Data — How It Works
Our AI consultation tool is powered by the Anthropic API (Claude). Here is how your session data is handled:
• Session content is transmitted to Anthropic’s servers for real-time processing.
• Anthropic retains API prompt and response logs for 7 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
• Anthropic does not use commercial API data for model training. This is an explicit commitment under Anthropic’s commercial API terms.
• We do not store session content on our own servers during or after your session.
• Sessions are anonymous. We do not require you to create an account or provide your name to use the service.
We recommend that you do not share sensitive personal identifiers — such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or medical record numbers — during AI sessions. The service does not require this information to provide guidance.
Anthropic’s privacy practices are governed by their own Privacy Policy, available at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
Escalation Emails
If you choose to submit a case review request or contact Eric Jorgensen directly via email, the information you provide in that message — including your name, email address, and any details you share — is received and retained by Special Needs Navigator LLC. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with unrelated third parties.
Email communications are delivered via Resend, our email delivery provider. Resend’s privacy practices are governed by their own Privacy Policy, available at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Payment Processing
Payments for sessions are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you make a purchase, your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is not stored on our servers. Stripe’s privacy practices are governed by their own Privacy Policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymized usage data about how visitors interact with our Site. GA4 collects information such as pages visited, session duration, browser type, and general location (country/region level). This data does not include session content, names, or personally identifiable information.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Cookies
We may use session cookies and persistent cookies to support site functionality and analytics. You can accept or decline cookies using your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality. The Site does not respond to Do Not Track signals sent by your browser.
Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including government agencies, attorneys, and other professional resources. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of third-party sites. We encourage you to review their policies before providing any personal information.
Security
We maintain reasonable security measures to protect the personal information you share with us. However, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as 100% secure. You acknowledge that information you voluntarily share through the Site could be accessed or tampered with by a third party, and you agree that we are not responsible for any intercepted information shared without our knowledge or permission.
Children
This Site and service are intended for adults 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child under 18 has provided personal information through our Site, please contact us at eric@specialneedsnavigator.us and we will promptly delete it.
Your Rights and Choices
You may access, correct, or request deletion of personal information you have provided to us by contacting us at eric@specialneedsnavigator.us. Because sessions are anonymous and not stored on our servers, there is no session history associated with your identity for us to retrieve or delete.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
